‘Bodyguard’ competes in Spain

‘Bodyguard’ by Ebrahim Hatamikia is announced among official selection of Madrid Int'l Film Festival in Spain.

‘Bodyguard’ by Ebrahim Hatamikia has been announced at the official selection lineup of Madrid International Film Festival in Spain.

The Iranian film will compete in the festival slated for July 8-15, 2017 in the Spanish capital.

‘Bodyguard’ will be competing in four different categories, including Best Leading Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Foreign Film and Best Editing.

'Bodyguard’ has so far been shown in a number of countries, including Germany, Canada, Australia, Britain, Lebanon, Syria and Afghanistan.

Prominent Iranian filmmaker Hatamikia’s ‘Bodyguard’ depicts idealism in the new era. It narrates the story of a middle-aged man protecting high-profile political figures.

Starring Parviz Parastoui, Merila Zarei and Babak Hamidian, the movie won four awards at the 34th edition of the Fajr Film Festival; namely, the Best Actor in a Leading Role, the Best Visual Effects, the Best Director and the Best Picture.

The Madrid International Film Festival is one of the greatest and most popular festivals in Europe that presents filmmakers with important opportunities.
